I am really excited to introduce my new venture which builds on my recent consulting, teaching and collaborating activities along with my 30+ years’ experience in media, entertainment, technology and business services.
I have teamed up with some smart award-winning specialists so that I can extend what I do, with a little help from my friends, as and when a project needs it.
My fellow Bodyboarders Michael, Tash, William, Brendan and Des, have multi-craft experience across immersive entertainment, network commissioning and production, consulting and directing and production.
From my perspective, the Bodyboard purpose is simple
“Be the creative connector for imagining the possibilities and crafting the practical, so you can share passionate storytelling.”
We are trusted expertise for broadcast TV, visually-led entertainment and 360 degree immersive experiences. My promise is to “produce smart solutions to entertaining problems and blend award-wining expertise and storytelling to create high impact immersive experiences.”
The Bodyboard services include sharing knowledge; connecting people, technology and business; collaborating, creating and solving puzzles and business and creative challenges.
I have really enjoyed the variety of people I have worked with and the assignments I have had in the last few years. With the media, entertainment and creative industries transforming so rapidly, I can see some real opportunities to assist where I am able.
You may ask why the name Bodyboard Immersive Experiences. It’s very easy to explain. Having lived on the Northern Beaches of Sydney for over 20 years, I feel very attached to the beach lifestyle. Admittedly, as I grew up in London it’s no surprise that I can’t surf. I can however really enjoy riding my bodyboard close to the shore, which is an exhilarating and immersive emotional experience, just like the best impacts of entertainment and video.
The media and entertainment industry is transforming at a rate that would have been hard to predict, even a few years ago. Personalised, social, immersive and mobile are certainly the on-trend directions, with exciting challenges to overcome and bridges to build between what we know and the advanced digital economy – an exciting prospect!
